Usher Raymond came to this world on 14th of October 1978. The boy became interested in music when he was 12 years old. At this time he joined the choir of Baptist church in Atlanta. He got to the choir because his mother was the head of the choir. Then he took part in city contests. In one of these contests the worker of La Face studio became interested in him. He invited the beginning singer to the audition held by popular producer L.A. Reid. As a result Usher concluded a contract with him.
His first single "Call Me A Mack" was released, when Usher was preparing to his first important anniversary (He was about to become fifteen years old). This happened in the end of 1993. The next year he released his debut musical disc that was named similar to his first single. The producer of the album was hit-maker Puff Daddy. He counted on three compositions - "Can U Get With It", "Think Of You"(by Donell Jones) and "The Many Ways".
The disk hit the twenty first line in hit parades of R&B style. And finally Usher started seriously working over his next disk "My Way". The producer of the album was Jermaine Dupri. By some miracle the composition "You Make Me Wanna" was on the top of hit parades for eleven weeks on a row. This single held the leading position much longer than the famous "Candle in the wind" of such super star as Elton John, who composed the song especially for princess Diana.
Of course, this was a breakthrough! Of course, many people knew that Usher pretends to be a real idol. The sales showed that this guess was true. Disk won the platinum status six times. In addition to "You make me wanna" another song named "Nice and Slow" also became popular. The clip for this song was made in the capital of France. Usher was nominated Grammy as the best vocalist for his disk "My Way". Of course, it was also thanks to the composition "You Make Me Wanna"
On the way of his popularity, this young singer acted in different TV shows, participated in guest tours of superstars. After he had acted in "The faculty" film, the musician was also perceived as an artist and was invited to act in more films.
The singer was strong and had a desire to bring benefit. Therefore he didn't forget about educational functions. When he spoke in project "Get Big On Safety" on behalf of Transportation Department of America, he called to study continuously. Because, only by doing so one can achieve something in his (her) life.
Soon the singer released his "Live" album that consisted of the records from his shows. The album contained only the compositions that the audience liked.
On the 7th of August 2001 Usher issued a new full-grown disk named "8701". His composition "U Remind Me" was in hit parades, R&B and pop style for over one month. And then it was changed by "U Got It Bad" that stayed in charts for 7 weeks.
Disk "8701" was distributed in the quantity of 8 million copies. Singles "U Remind Me" and "U Got It Bad" were nominated to Grammy.
However, Usher didn't stop after achieving such success and releases his disk "Confessions". This disk was a real success. It settled for a long time in hit parades and was sold in the quantity of 100 million copies literally in seven days. The singer won the prize. It was simply a miraculous success.
After half a year the disk was presented. Soon its new edition appeared. It included 4 new compositions. One of them was "My Boo" that was performed by Alicia Keys and it hit all records by its popularity.
