Description

“The Hurt Locker” is a film about the daily life of American mine pickers in Iraq. After the death of Sergeant Thompson his place in detachment was occupied by Sergeant James, who became revealing his bravery as soon as he came.

Almost every day a small group of mine pickers consisting of three people (Sergeant James and Sergeant Sanborn as well as specialist Eldridge) set out for completing dangerous tasks while risking their life. After the appearance of James another risk, adventurous behavior of Sergeant James, was added to the list of risks.

Before shooting film a script writer Mark Boal lived for several months in the platoon of mine pickers in Iraq. He also went to real operations together with mine pickers. When you stay thousands of miles away from bomb, the bomb seems to be just a political problem, however, when you stay several steps away from bomb it turns into a difficult task. A minor mistake here could cost you your life.
