 Taylor Swift is an author and the performer of pop-country songs. She started her career in the youth. In 2006 after producing her first album in 16 years she became one of the most popular, bright and young pop-country vocalists in United States. Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. At present she lives in Tennessee with her parents and her brother Austin. Despite the fact that her talent was discover by American spectators just recently, Swift began perform since early childhood. It is considered that she was inspired by her grandmother, an opera player, though Taylor was interested only in Country music then.
When she was 10 Taylor already became local celebrity in her native town, Wyomissing. She performed on the fairs and in karaoke contests. She took in hands guitar when she was 12 and began writing songs at the same time. By that time she had realized that the feeling that overfilled her could be expressed with the help of music.
The Swifts were not strangers to music. They quickly found that the music is Taylor’s talent. Her parents made several demo records of Taylor’s karaoke singing. When being in Nashville they distributed these records to the representatives of various sound recording studios in hope to conclude contract with any of them. In Nashville Swift periodically performed, met new people, and wrote songs in collaboration with other authors. At first Taylor wanted to produce her album in one of the local sound recording studios. But her offers were rejected.
She performed the state anthem on the opening of Philadelphia Games in 1976 when she was 11 years old and the audience liked her performance. As a result the Swifts decided to move to the suburb lying next to Nashville.
When Taylor performed in Nashville in “The Bluebird Café” Scott Borkett, which not long ago created independent label named Big Machine Records, noticed Taylor and concluded a contract with her. As a result he produced Taylor’s debut single “Tim McGraw”. This composition was named after famous Country Music performer, Tim McGraw, whose works had a great impact on Taylor. McGraw was surprised that he became the hero of Taylor’s debut song.
The album named “Swift Taylor” released in October 2006 made Taylor popular and was her real success. All of the songs in this album Taylor wrote by herself or together with other authors. The original compositions of the album are filled with emotions and drama. All four singles of her debut album (“Teardrops on My Guitar”, “Our Song”, “Picture to burn” and “Should have said no”) were among 40 best hits of Billboard Hot 100.
Taylor was awarded Grammy for the year 2008 in the nomination of the best performer. Her next studio album “Fearless” appeared in USA on the 11th of November 2008. The album took first place in the chart of musical albums Billboard 200 and was sold in 592,000 copies. During one week it overcame all other albums produced this year. The single named “Love Story”, which was opening the album, became the leader of hit parade Billboard Hot 100. In the second album nothing revealed that she was a teenager. The music performed by her doesn’t match her age. However, thanks to this fact in 2008 “Fearless” became one of the best albums of mainstream pop culture.
