Calvin Broadus was born on the 20th of October 1972 in a place named Long Beach, California, USA. The commercial rise of Snoop Doggy Dogg in 1993 was very fast because at that time he mastered the hardcore-rap in due time and this genre was dominating over other genres. "Doggystyle" was the most impatiently expected style in the history of rap, because even before the official date of the release over one and a half million of preliminary orders were made.

The criminal past of Broadus (Snoop) cast a real romantic shadow and commanded the respect from gangster rap admirers. When he graduated from high school of Long Beach, he was simply filled with drugs, and spent three years hanging out at jail and freedom in turns. He appeared in show business for the first time in 1991, when he helped to Doctor Dre to work over the track "Deep Cover" that was included to soundtrack to the film with the same name and was made public at the beginning of 1992.

Dogg was an omnipresent man, who wanted to know everything and was interested in everything. That was the way he got to the breakthrough-album of Doctor Dre in 1992. The album was named "The Chronic". The words to the single that became a hit, "Nuthin' but a "G'Thang", were written by Snoop. They performed the single together with Doctor Dre. After hanging out in MTV video awards that took place in September 1993, where Snoop declared En Vogue, he was taken by Police because at that moment he was accused of murder. It was because Snoop and several fellows exchanged fire in slum. Who else would be responsible, but Snoop? The news about Snoop's arrest increased the sales of his records.
