Description

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on the 9th of February 1977 in Barranquilla, Columbia. From her early childhood Shakira dreamt to be a singer. She already danced well, composed and sang songs when she was three years old.
When Shakira was thirteen years old she concluded a contract with studio "Sony Music Colombia". In this studio she issued her debut disk "Magia". Shakira was born to be famous. She was to present Columbia on the OTI show in Spain. However, the girl was minor and so she wasn't allowed to go to Spain.
Shakira didn't sorrow for it for long and presented her next disk "Peligro" ("Danger"). Then the girl stopped her rapid creative activity for sometime as she had to get a certification in school. Her victorious come back to scene happened in 1996 when she issued her single "Pies Descalzos" ("Barefoot") that was a combination of rock, pop music and Latina. Single was sold in the quantity of 4 million copies all around the World.
They looked at Shakira as if she were a wonder. She was on tour for 2 years without interruption. She didn't want to follow pop templates and skillfully added some rock elements to her songs. This was an amazing thing for Columbia.
Her disk " Donde Estan los Ladrones" presented by Shakira with the help of her producer Emilio Estefan in 1998 received a status of "Multiplatinum" in America, Columbia, Chili, Argentina, Mexico. In Spain the disk became platinum. The disk got to the top position in Billboard chart.
In 1999 Shakira released "Megamixes" disk. In 2000 she released "MTV Unplugged" disk. Namely for this disk Shakira received "Grammy". Her debut disk in English called "Laundry Service" was release in 2001. She managed to express all emotions and her desire to foreigner dialect. The disk made many admirers happy with such compositions as "Whenever, Whenever" and "Underneath Your Clothes". All of the above-mentioned songs were shot on clips. On the 22nd of January 2002 Shakira released her "Collection De Oro" disk. Each of the eleven singles was composed in cooperation with Ochoa.
