Description  The U900 Soul was the best phone that Samsung put out in 2008 hand down. It has since been trumped by the new S8300 but that does not mean that this mobile phone is not up to speed. It is still one of the most versatile and powerful cell phone available today. With Dual Touchscreen control and 5.0 megapixel camera and built-in MP3 this phone packs a serious punch. The 2008 Samsung flagship is available in Graphite, Silver, Pink or Black. The only knock on it has been that the volume of the mobile device is a bit low but other than that its top notch all the way.
The Soul is just the next generation of slide phones that has seen some serious evolution for the last 4 years or so. The Samsung Soul really combines the best of those old sliders and creates an awesome blend. This phone just looks stylish teh minute you see it. Its sleek metal finish shows you that you are about to behold something different for once. The rest of the body continues with its great lines and 12.9mm thick body. The phone is just about the same size and thickness as the ultra slim Samsung D900.
The real selling feature in this phone is the duality of functions. On the front cover you have a touch sensitive navigation pad that Samsung calls "magic". While it may bot have magical powers it sure does work well if you like the touch navigtion buttons found on phones like the LG Venus and Samsung E950. Basically its a touchable icons that change depending on where in the menu you are. Some users love it while others can't stand it. There seems to be no middle ground on this but it seems its here to stay.
Under the hood the 2008 flagship comes loaded with technology and features. The display is the first Samsung to boast 16 million colors and the phone has 3G so that you can download anything off the web at up to 7.2 Mbps. Add to that one great 5.0 mega pixel camera that is similar to the G600 and you have a complete package. The camera is not the best in the industry but your photos wont really know the difference. The camera is certainly worth while but just make sure to set the camera to maximum resolution. There is also a MP3 player that plays all the most popular formats and plus an FM radio, and the usual Bang & Olufsen power amplifier for high-fidelity audio. To listen to your tracks chose from Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack or the charger and plugin your headphones. The on board memory is a respectable 100mb and you can increase it with a microSD memory card.
The rest of the phone is loaded with all the features and apps you would expect from Samsung and its flagship phone so there is nothing to really complain about. This is a fantastic phone that should be getting more and more budget friendly as their latest phones take over the flagship status. Keep an eye on this one for your next purchase.
