Description
The Samsung Reality is a QWERTY slider phone (that means it has the full keyboard) available for $79.99 through Verizon Wireless when you sign a two year contract. The phone comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera for snapping great shots of anything you find interesting and it also features a GPS function, Bluetooth compatibility and a multimedia player so you can check out videos and listen to music.
The display is 3 inches long with a 240x400 resolution. It’s a little lower quality than other phones with the same size screen and they did that to save on cost. However, the screen is bright and clear. On the home screens you can customize to your heart’s content by dragging icons around and putting anything you want in there. It’s exceptionally flexible. The shortcuts to social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter will likely be used more than most. When you slide the phone open the QWERTY keyboard is there and exceptionally easy to use thanks to raised keys and nice space.
The phone has basic features that include a stopwatch, a unit converter, a timer, a world clock, a calendar, a speakerphone, vibrate mode, an alarm clock, a memo pad and more. You can store up to 1000 contacts with 5 numbers, street addresses, etc for each. The messaging options are the most robust part of the phone since it’s clearly designed for folks that want to text and communicate with others via their social networking sites. You can instant message with folks on Yahoo, Windows Live and Aim. There’s a simple HTML browser that works well enough but will not blow your mind with it’s beauty and ease. The music player is robust and in addition to playing your MP3s you can use the FM tuner to get local stations. The 3.2 megapixel camera takes high resolution pictures that look good but not great. There’s a timer though so you can snap pictures of yourself from a distance. It’s a good phone for messaging and it’s a decent phone for multimedia purposes to it has you covered on several fronts.
