 One more great phone from Samsung! The G600 is yet another winning addition to an already great Samsung lineup. It has a 5 megapixel camera, music player with 1GB of memory and is available in a variety of trendy colors. There is no reason not to own this phone.
The Samsung G600 is a classic slim Samsung slider and finds room for a 5 megapixel camera in its small frame. It has simple clean looks and function to match. Everything on this phone works well and performs nicely. Its not as cool looking as the iPhone or LG Chocolate but it works just as well and doesn't need to be flashy to do it all.
Its a nice enough looking phone with its smoky black finish and slim figure. The G600 is slim enough to be lightweight and feel good in your hands but its not trying to be the slimmest on of them all either. The dark finish lets the screen take over as your main focal point which is a nice change. The screen itself is a good size and its 16million colors really stand out across all 2.2 inches of its frame. The camera is tucked away out of sight behind the slide along with the flash to keep it protected from all the keys and loose change in your pocket.
The 5 megapixel camera is more than ample for your day to day use. Users will be happy using the autofocus, LED Flash and 4x digital zoom for pictures of their life out and about. If you need more pixels like the new 8 megapixel cameras then maybe take a look elsewhere but for the rest of us this is more than enough to keep us happy. The camera can take panorama shots and even record video up to 640x480 pixels. There is a picture editor to make your life easy and even wireless printing using a Pict-bridge-compatible printer. Plenty to like in a phone camera.
The music player may just be the second most important feature on a mobile phone. Luckily for all of us the G600 may just be the best music player that Samsung has ever released. Playing all the formats you need (MP3, AAC, AAC+, 3-AAC+ and WMA) is a pretty good start. If you can use an iPod you will surely enjoy this user interface. The phone has about 40Mb of internal memory but they give you a 1GB microSD card in the box to keep the tunes going. That should about cover most of your favorite music and still leave room for all the photos you take.
Other nice features include document viewer for all your office files so you can always stay connected to the office. Speaking of connectivity there are plenty of ways to connect this device: Bluetooth, USB and quadband. The battery life is pretty good considering it slim size but if you are a heavy user of bluetooth and such you could find yourself charging more often.
This could just be one o the best phones from the 2008 crop as there is just nothing not to like on this unit. Make sure to swing by your Samsung dealer and test this phone out. You will be happy you did.
