Description
 The E250 doesn't pretend to be the best phone on the market but it does pack a great punch considering its entry level pricing. Its the first time that Samsung has offered a slide phone for this sort of money and the value you get out of the E250 is really quite something. Phone, camera, music player and some memory to store it all packaged at the right price makes for a really nice deal.
When you first see the phone you will be pleasantly surprised with its high end looks and feel. Many of the style features have been borrowed from their top of the line phones such as the D900. It has a nice metallic finish and classic Samsung slider with a familiar keypad to boot.
The LCD screen on the front displays 256K colors and offers a big enough viewing area. There is a low end camera here also, and while its only a 0.3 megapixel VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and no flash its a lot better then most other phones at these nearly prices. A nice little music player and FM Radio are included in the E250 phone which will make most users happy. While the phone only has 13MB of storage space built in you can upgrade this using a microSD memory card. Overall thats a pretty nice little multimedia package at less then 50 British Pounds.
As far as software features go there are many of the standard ones you expect on any phone these days such as Java games and applications. There is a voice recorder that lets you leave message for yourself and even a speaker phone which comes in handy when you need to talk and use both hands at the same time. Email and web access is also possible on the E250 which is a great feature for an entry level phone. You can surf the web with its GPRS or EDGE connections for quick downloads. Other connections include USB to transfer files, photo and music in between your E250 and your computer and there is also a Bluetooth connection which is becoming a standard these days.
Over all its tough to find a better bang for your buck. Its no D900 by any means but its also not catered to any high end markets. This is simply a great entry level phone that gives users the feel of what a high level phone can do for you. Once you start with one of these you will quickly see the value of all those techy high end phones. Until then this is a great choice for basic users.
