Description

If you love gadgets on your phone then the Nokia N95 is the phone for you. This thing is loaded with all the latest in smart phone technology. Camera, MP3 and GPS all at the top of their class. This is phone is bound to be a popular one for Nokia.
Here comes the latest and greatest Nokia N Series smartphone and its a loaded with features. Claiming to be the most technologically advanced phone on the scene today the question is will it hold up to the title or falter as another problematic and buggy Nokia phone?

Right off the bat the Nokia N95 is a 3G smartphone built on the Series 60 Symbian interface (version 3.1).For those that know these phones are aware that they tend to be heavy, and full of bugs and quirky software and firmware that randomly shuts down or freezes. This unit comes in at a hefty 120g which doesn't exactly make it all that leight-weight. Many of the cool features of this phone can be found access through the front-side navigation controls which can also be programmed to suit your style. Once you slide the keypad open you will find its just like other Nokia phones in that the keys are on the small side for any real typing or use. For previous owners of the Nokia 60 series they will recall its user interface as its the same on this line. Its not the simplest interface that Nokia has ever used but hey the phone has so many techy features that you can't expect the controls to be simple.

This phone is marketed towards those who are willing to sacrifice sleek and sexy for maximum features. It maybe heavy, bulky, slow and buggy but have you seen what it can do? The N95 has probably the best screen out there boasting a 240 x 320 pixel screen with a mind-altering 16 million colours. This takes it to the top of the class. There is also an ambient light detector that automatically adjusts the screen brightness for maximum usability anytime of the day and battery your precious life too. This screen is really amazing and it truly needs to be in order to complement the rest of the features on this bad boy.

The camera on this thing is another triumph in the phone industry being the first camera available with a 5 megapixel lens. That's right this thing is as good as your other digital camera that you are packing around. Nokia has partnered with Carl-Zeiss and Tessar to bring the best lenses and optics since the Nokia N93. The N95 lacks the optical zoom of its predecessor so N93 still has the best camera. The camera continues to feature the auto focus and flash of the N93. Not to mention the 640 x 480 pixel VGA video recording capabilities with a fantastic 30 frames per second make this camera top out the others.

One of the sweetest features on the N95 is the actual GPS system built right which contacts and communicates directly with the satellite systems allowing you to track down your position in the car or walking in the streets. The navigation is not without its flaws as you will have to buy a license to use the Nokia mapping systems and the actual use of the system is not as polished as on dedicated GPS units but with all the features being built into one unit you have to allow some room for clumsiness.

While the phone has some amazing totally teched out features, it also comes with a list of features that are all up to the latest tech standards: a music player with support for all common music formats, a stereo FM radio, handsfree, Bluetooth...you get the picture. The memory is right there too supporting cards as big as 8GB. With all the things this phone can do we are amazed the power lasts as long as it does. Its not the longest battery life but its not the worst either.

In conclusion this phone is about as good as it gets. If you don't mind some bugs and a bit of bulkiness then this phone truly shines with its list of features.
