Description

The Nokia N85 is the smaller and cheaper cousin to the N96 but still packs a punch. Loaded with all the greatest bells and whistles to keep you mobile. Great alternative for the budget conscious if you don't mind the smaller screen.
The Nokia N85 is very similar to the N96 but its slimmer and has almost all the great features of the N96. For the cost saving over the N96 this makes it ideal for those looking for a similar feature rich phone at a lower price. T

The N85 comes with most of the same features so there is not much to distinguish the two phones besides price and size of the phone. The looks of both phones are quite striking in a sleek black glossy finish and colorful display and keyboard that slides open for maximum look and feel. The front has a all your navigation buttons built in so controlling this unit is quite easy even with the keyboard closed. You can still access your music, internet and camera without opening the keyboard. The feature rich interface system makes it easy to navigate through the menus.

The N85 includes the same 5 megapixel camera and GPS navigation system found on the N96 and N95 phones making it one of the most teched out phones in the industry. The gadgets on this phone really rock out with features and functionality. The display is where things are really noticeable from the N96 since the N85 has a smaller screen size down to about 2.6 inches which makes the keyboard a bit smaller and more cramped. The interface system in this phone is the same as the N96 which means its powerful and well designed but not without its bugs and random freezing like in the other units. It's good but like always could use some work.

The one lacking feature is the size of the memory giving you only 128 mb of built in memory so you will have to use the 8GB memory card slot to pack it full of your favorite music and graphics. The N96 has a built in 16GB and that is your difference right there in both features and cost. You will also see that you can't watch tv on this phone but that feature only works in select markets anyways.

The N85 has almost all the sweet features of the N96 and a much smaller price tag which can actually be free with certain phone plans out there today. This makes the N85 a great choice for those on a budget but want all the toys from the big boys!
