Description
The Nokia 6300 is a timeless classic and one of the highest rated phones by its users and media alike. Stainless steel finish in a slim and simple body make this a easy to use phone a top choice among cell phone users. The 2 megapixel camera is surprisingly good and the phone also includes an MP3 player, memory slot ready for upto 2GB of memory and also has wireless Bluetooth to cap it all off. The only downside is the below-average battery life which gives this phone its only negative point. The phone is in silver, black and white to suit your personal style.
The slogan used for this phone really rings true for the Nokia 6300 as its really is "Simply Beautiful - Beautifully simple". Stylish and sleek stainless steel surfaces and all the functionality that most people want in a phone. Sounds too easy, right? It's not a smartphone or 3G but it makes great calls, plays your music and takes a nice photo. That's enough for most of us out there. Just like the early Nokia 6-series phones this unit looks good when first put it in your hand with its exclusive and high-end looking design featuring a nice screen size, good sized keypad, five way navigation button and high quality display. The slim 1.cm Nokia 6300 is not too wide and it doesn't feel to heavy in your hand but it does feel solid. The keypad is usable and the buttons are a decent size. The display on the unit is a real winner coming with a high resolution 240 x 320 pixel display with a whopping 16 million colours.
Once we get under the hood of the 6300 it continues to deliver. It has all the toys you would hope for in a non-smartphone. The 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom makes pictures on the go look good but it certainly doesn't compare to some of the high-end camera phones on the market. The camera does have a video recording feature included also. It also comes with a music player and FM radio built in so you can keep your tunes going with its included headset and support for a Bluetooth headset. Storage is limited out of the box but the memory slot supports upto 2GB cards. This phone is almost fully connected as it supports Bluetooth, USB, GPRS and EDGE but does not connect to 3G networks. Since the phone is super-slim the battery life suffers but is not that bad. The user interface is the same one you are used to from Nokia phones and over all the phone is easy to use and very practical.
In conclusion the Nokia 6300 continues to build on its tradition. Its look great and is made to be a real quality phone. The metallic silver finish and sleek design make this phone stand out of the crowd. It's nice to see Nokia get back to the great phones that made them famous after all these stylish but unusable or buggy-brick smartphones.
