Description

The Nokia 6124 must be one of the lightest, most compact and easiest to use 3G smartphones out on the market today. Loaded with the 3.5G connection it lets you download and surf the web quickly and easily. The 6124 is basically a Vodafone exclusive version of the 6120 classic. The real difference between the 2 phones is the design of the case and a slightly different keypad.

The small font size and the not so great battery life are downers in a otherwise great phone. Besides that the 6124 Classic is a well designed, visually appealing smartphone that is really easy to use.

For its design the Nokia team went with a black finish with some silver highlights to make it stand out. The front of teh unit has the directional navigation button and you can quickly access the main features from the quit hit buttons. The display is a high quality 16 million color screen that measures in at 240 x 320 pixels. The Nokia team did a good job in the design of this phone which is nice for a change.

On the inside the 6124 Classic is loaded with nice little 2 megapixel camera that has 4x digital zoom and flash built in which will keep most casual users quite happy. The camera also lets you take videos which comes in handy. It all also has a music player that supports all the latest formats including: MP3, eAAC+, and WMA. It also has a FM radio built in case you forgot to load up all your favorite tracks. The phone has Nokia headset right in the box so there is no need to buy a new pair unless you want to take advantage of the Bluetooth connectivity. If you are feeling lazy and don't feel like using the buttons or reading anything the phone has built in Voice Dialing and Voice command and can even read all your text messages to you as well as emails or another text found on the phone. Internally the phone gives you 35mb of space but you can slide a microSd memory card in to the slot that will support up tp a 8GB card.

With the 3G network connection and EGSM / HSDPA it will keep you flying across the internet and connected to all your friends. And with its light weight and slim design so it won't weigh you down as you connect.

All in all the Nokia 6124 is a feature rich phone that is not too pricey. It has all the latest tech toys and will keep you connected if you don't mind that your battery life is a little shorter than you hoped for.
