This entry level phone from Nokia is actually a really good phone. It has just about everything you demand from a 3G phone and a affordable price tag to match. The design on this unit is really sleek and clean and with the sliding faceplate it just looks right down cool. The slider opens easily and smoothly to show a easy to use keypad that is large enough to do some serious texting on.
The front display has a 5-way navigation button on the front and direct buttons for quick access to the main features of the phone. When you slide the front plate open the brilliant and bright display comes alive and shows off its 16 million color display. The camera on this phone is a respectable 3.2 megapixel that comes with autofocus and double LED flash. The photo quality on this unit is quite good, good enough to actually print and use the pictures on facebook or elsewhere. While the phone is only a 2G phone so you can't do video calling you can actually record a decent video for playback later.
The Nokia 3600 Slide has a built in music player and it supports all the standard formats such as: MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, and WMA), and even has a stereo FM radio too. You can play the music through the loudspeaker in the phone or using the supplied headset or your Bluetooth connection. Sadly there is no 3.5mm connection on this phone but that's a minor detail. Internal memory on the phone is only 30MB but you can upgrade to a memory card that will handle upto 4GB which should cover all your music needs. Most stores give you a 512MB card to get you started.
While the phone lacks several high-end features it still does pack a punch with its GPS, Nokia Maps and Opera mini web browser. The phone will keep you surfing the web and checking your emails too. You can connect to the phone using USB or Bluetooth and being a Quadband will let you use it anywhere in the world. As usual the only downer is the typical Nokia battery life. It doesn't last as long you would hope but overall its still a great little phone that doesn't cost a whole bunch.
