Description The 2630 is a low end offering from Nokia. While it is superslim, lighweight phone that has a some cool features its mostly sub-par. The phone only has limited space on to store music ( only space for a track or two ) and it has a camera ( but its really bad quality ) and it does have a FM radio. But these things aren't enough to save this phone from bad reviews. The phone is ok if you are really a no frills type of user that just needs to make calls and stay in touch.
At first glance you notice the Nokia 2630 has a standard bar design. The phone comes in a sleek black and gray design and a colorfull screen. When you first pick it up you will notice how light it is and how small it actually is. The keypad on the unit is a little small but managable to do your basic texting and navigating around the menu. It does come with a 5 way navigation button to make things a little easier and there are a few short cut keys to access your favorite features. The screen is bright but only displays 65,000 colors which is far below what the lastest phones on the market are coming with. Don't expect to see detailed photos on this 128 x 160 pixel screen.
The 2630 offering from Nokia does come with a VGA camera that has a 4x digital zoom but its so poor in quality that its virtually useless. Its more of a gimmick on this phone then anything. If you do feel like it you can also use the same camera to take short videos but with the limitd memory on this phone it won't be a long video by any means. The only handy feature on the camera is the one click button to give you instant access to the camera.
As with other phone the Nokia 2630 comes with a bunch of games and other simple apps that are offered on most phones these days so when you are stuck on the bus or somewhere standing inline you can cure your boredom playing one of them. The other time killer on here is the limited WAP browser. The WAP browser is a 2.0 XHTML web browser that allows you to access your email and other websites but again your experience will be very limited and is recommended for checking your email or reading text based news websites only.
Again this phone is ok if you need something basic for your use and don't want to spend much money doing it. It will keep you connected with your friends and you don't have to worry about someone stealing it from you. Even pickpockets have a better phone then this.
