Description

Natalie Cole was born on the 6th of February 1950 in Los Angeles. Now Natalie has won eight "Grammy" awards. She has issued eight disks that became golden and three disks that became platinum.
Although her father Nat "King" Cole was a legendary vocalist, initially she didn't have any interest in music. Her thirst to singing came when she became a student of University of Massachusetts.
Her first creative development began when she became an author of songs. She also played well on a piano and collaborated as a vocalist with Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy, whose melodies were a mixture of R&B/soul, pop, gospel and adult contemporary.
Natalie met Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy in Chicago. Together they worked in Curtis Mayfield's Custom studio. They got the assistance of saxophonist Gene Barge. The only label that paid attention to the demo-records of the group was "Capitol Records".
On the 30th of June 1975 Natalie released her debut song named "This Will Be". The given song won the affection of the audience and stayed in the top line of R&B hit parade for fourteen days. In Billboard it took a modest sixth place.
In 1976 Natalie was rewarded her first "Grammy" award. That summer she married Marvin Yancy. Then a son Robert was born to the Newlyweds. However, the family existed not for long.
Because of anxiety Natalie got hooked on drugs. Of course, she started missing concerts and finally in 1981 the studio terminated a contract with her. In 1983 Natalie realized that her life was on the verge of disaster and agreed to receive a treatment.
Six years later Natalie became a bride again. She married producer Andre Fischer, who helped her to release the disk named "Unforgettable". The album was rewarded Grammy in six nominations.
In 1987 her disk "Everlasting" received the Golden status. Her three songs steadily held the top positions in charts.
In 1996 she released "Stardust", having one interesting feature. The development of technology allowed her to make an artificial record of her duet with her father. The song "When I Fall in Love" was rewarded a well-deserved "Grammy" award in 1997.
In the end of 2000, the singer issued an autobiography that was made in cooperation with Digdy Diehl. Natalie herself appeared on the covers of such magazines as "Jet magazine" and "People magazine". The life is going on.
