The Motorola V550 comes with internal display with the resolution of 176x220 pixels. The external display can show 2 text lines with blue backlight. The Motorola V550 has a digital camera with the resolution of 640x480 pixels and camera light. The phone can capture video and play it back. Another nice function the phone has is called voice recorder. The phone contains polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. You can play the preinstalled java games or download new ones from the Internet. You can also download animated screen savers, wallpapers and ringtones.

The phone has a very convenient keypad that facilitates the process of composing SMS, MMS, EMS, email messages. You can also send group messages to several contacts. While composing messages you can use iTap predictive text software, which will suggest the endings of the words as you write them. The Motorola V550 can be connected to other devices by means of cable and Bluetooth. There is another function called voice-activation dialing, where you can dial numbers by using voice commands.

The phone has a picture phonebook that can keep up to 500 entries with pictures assigned to each of them. The phone has a built-in hands-speakerphone. The Motorola V550 has such useful functions as date and clock, calendar with reminder, currency converter and calculator. The built-in memory is equal to 5 MB.

The phone is a quadband phone meaning you can use it almost anywhere in the World. The battery of the phone will last around 7.5 hours in talk mode and approximately 240 hours in standby mode without being recharged. User-customizable soft-key functions and shortcuts will facilitate the work of the user.
