Description  Motorola's famous RAZR series is back again with the Motorola RAZR2 V9. The camera has been upgraded to try to meet the demands of today's consumer and it looks like they did just fine. The RAZR2 V9 is superslim clamshell phone with sturdy construction and good looks. Under the hood it packs a 3G network connection, great music player and touchscreen controls. The only real letdowns on this mobile phone are the lackluster camera and below average battery life.
While the RAZR2 v9 is virtually identical to the v8 of the RAZR series the improvements it did see have really moved it along. The most noticeable upgrade is the fact that it is now a 3G phone capable of video calling and surf the web in broadband with speeds of up to 3.6Mbps.
Carried over are the stylish good looks and stainless steel finish along with the rest of the premium materials that make up this phone. If you are comparing the RAZR2 to a classic RAZR you will several design upgrades such as the flat keypad and the outside screen is much bigger and is now a touchscreen. The outside screen lets you do pretty anything you need with the phone but dial phone numbers and write text messages.
The camera is where you start to see kinks in the armour of the Motorola mobile phone. Sitting at only 2 megapixels it is well below the average for phones like this one. There is no flash either which puts a damper on night time photos. It can record video bit again the resolution is much worse than it should really be. On a high note the music player is really amazing since it runs Windows Media Player 11 which supports just about any music format. The other handy thing with having it run WMP11 is that it makes it really to sync with your PC. The internal memory is adequate at 45mb but it can now microSD with cards 2 Gbytes.
Another big improvement over the V8 RAZR2 is the quality of the voice calls. The phone uses CrystalTalk which is a newer technology that adjusts audio quality on the fly taking into account such thing like background noise.
As you can see this phone has a ton of great features but also some that really should have been upgraded. The biggest culprit of this is the camera but we also have to mention the battery life which is way below average. The phone is superslim with a touchscreen and 3G which all suck the battery life.
