The Motorola Milestone is a smartphone which feels sturdy but is quite heavy at 165g and bulky at 115.8 x 60mm although the company kept it at a decent 13.7 thickness.

The 3.7inch WVGA display packs an 854x480 resolution which makes it sharp and bright so as not to cause viewing problems. Although the company tried to provide a tactile feedback by having the device vibrate slightly when the four touch-sensitive buttons-Menu, Home, Search and Back are used, it would have been better if they were physical keys. Accidental activation of the Home or Back key may occur specifically when holding the phone in landscape orientation to take photos.

The Milestone likewise comes with a microSDHC slot as well as an 8GB card bundled.
