The display is shiny and even the external screen hides away and becomes unnoticeable when not in use. The display comes to life to display music player info, caller ID and other useful information in a animated hypnotic way that is sure to please any lady. The screen itself is a touchscreen so you can run pretty much anything without opening the clam up.
Under the hood the phone is very similar to the Motorola U9 and there is really nothing new the phone offers except for its looks. The Motorola Jewel does have a 2 megapixel that will work just fine for photos on the go that end up on Facebook or Myspace. There is no flash for the camera so make sure you only take pictures during the day or in well lit areas. It does take nice videos also if the lighting is right and should be fine for posting on YouTube.
The music player on the Jewel is pretty good and it supports just about any type of music format. There is a nice software package that comes with it which allows you to easily move songs back and forth between the mobile phone and your desktop PC or laptop using a USB cable. To store all your music the phone only has 25 Megabytes that holds only six or seven good quality mp3 files but you can always upgrade all the way to a 4GB microSD card that will hold about a 1000 songs.
The battery life is pretty good considering all the glitter. It can last a few days between charges which will make girls on the go very happy. The only real problems that the Jewel has it that it canze up time to time. This issue will surely be solved in the next release of firmware upgrades and should go away. This is definitely a great phone for any girl.
