 The Motorola A920 is a high end smartphone that runs on the Symbian operating system and connects to the 3G network. This phone was designed with the business user and high demanding phone user in mind. It has tons of bells and whistles that make this baby sing. No high end user will mind any of these features and all the software available for download to make it do so much more.
This phone looks high tech and it has the features to back it all up. It has big touchscreen on the front that even recognizes your handwriting and its all displayed on a 4cm x 6cm display capable of 65,000 colors and 208 x 320 pixels of high resolution. The screen specs are just about the same as on the Sony Ericsson P900 for those comparing the two. Most of you interface uses the touchcreen either by writing in your data or by using the virtual keyboard that pops up. This makes the phone really easy to use.
Being a business phone making sure you can stay in touch is key. The phone supports just about all types of messaging including SMS, EMS, MMS and e-mail. The phone book will keep all your contacts organized with room for all of the above messaging details for each one.
The key to the phone is the 3G connection that lets you surf the web at high speed and make download a snap. Having 3G also allows you to make video phone calls which comes in quite handy when travelling. With the mobile being a smartphone you can download tons of applications that run on the Symbian operating system. There are more and more apps being released every single day so the phone really just gets handier and handier.
The internal memory just doesn't give you all that much space being only 8Mb, they do load you up with a 32Mb microSD card but you will probably want to get yourself a 4GB or 8Gb card instead. The phone does have a camera that almost gets lost in within all the high tech features of the phone. The camera is a bit lack luster than the rest of the features but the business crowd doesn't seem to be concerned with photo quality.
Over all the phone is pretty good considering all it can do. You will have to keep your charger handy since all the high tech in this phone likes to eat through batteries. Keep a charger at home and one in the office or car and you should be fine to use it as much as you need.
