Description
The to-be-star was born in USA in Greenlawn that lies not far from New York. Mariah Carey began enjoying music in her early childhood. When she was 17 she decided to make her career of a singer.
Her first experience she got by participating as a back-vocalist during recording of a regular album of Brenda K. Star. Later one of her demonstrational records attracted Tommy Motolla, the head of the sound recording company named Columbia Records. Her voice amazed Tommy and in 1990 he helped the singer to work on her debut disk.
The year 1992 became crucial for Mariah Carey. She started to become popular. After issuing "Emotions" album she became known even outside USA. Her songs started hitting the first lines of the most famous hit parades. As a result of her fruitful cooperation (and later wedding) with Tommy Motolla she was rewarded "Grammy". At the same time the singer issues one of her best disks "Music Box"
Soon after Carey divorced with Motolla she issued her next album "Butterfly" known for its composition "When you believe". Carey recorded this composition together with legendary Whitney Houston.
Her disk "Number one" that included the best songs of Carey became a real gift for her admirers. It also included "My all", the hit loved by everyone, and poorly known "Sweetheart" performed together with Germine Dupri. After "Wprld Music Awards ‘98" ceremony she was named "the best performer of 90s" That is explained by the fact that 115 million copies of her albums were sold all around the World. In the "Europe Music Awards" Carey was nominated as "The best rhythm-blues performer".
After some time Mariah Carey started working again and made her admirers happy by issuing a single named "Heartbreaker" recorded by a legendary rapper "Jay-Z". This song became a precursor of new album of Mariah Carey named "Rainbow"
