Description

The music of this American team of California is a hybrid of the very different styles. "Linkin park" performs the mixture of hard rock, hip-hop and electronics with vigorous texts. The group arose in a small studio that was equipped in the bedroom of MC/vocalist, Mike Shinoda, in which Mike and Delson in 1996 recorded their first material for future collective. The both studied in one school, where they met Rob Bourdon.
In Art College Shinoda entered, he met DJ Joseph Hahn. At this time Delson was renting a room together with bassist Darren Farrell who had a nick "Phoenix". At that time the group was named "Xero". Then the boys changed the name to "Hybrid Theory" and after some time they finally decided to call their group "Linkin Park".
The group was finally formed in 1999 after the native of Arizona, vocalist Chester Bennington joined it. The team quickly became famous in the vicinities of Los Angeles and soon its popularity went beyond its boundaries.
The combination of powerful vocal of Bennington with inflammatory style of MC/Shinoda helped to define the sound of "Linkin Park". The main aim of Chester and Mike was to reach the maximum integrity of sounding. Although the styles mixed by the guys were different, they always strived that the combination turn out natural. "Linkin Park" was considerably influenced by such different groups as "Deftones", "Nine Inch Nails", "Aphex Twin", "The Roots". The team was totally immersed in the process of writing the material, until it concluded a contract with "Warner Bros. Records" in spring 2000. Thereafter, "Linkin park" immediately went to studio.
