Description
 Shhhh, its the LG Secret. Don't tell anyone that this phone is super sexy and loaded with features. The LG Secret looks like it won't be a secret too long. It has a nice black and carbon finish and a cool "neon touch" visuals when you are using it. It comes loaded with all the standard phone features these days like music player, camera and 3G video calling. On the downside is a weak battery and some people say that the reception quality sucks too.
This is the third installment of LG's "Black Label" series following in the footsteps of the Chocolate and the Shine. Unlike the other two LG phones this one is a touchscreen offering and it has a cool little neon light effect. When you touch a button it lets you know neon display style. This feature alone will keep you happy for hours next time you are stuck standing in line.
The LG Secret is known as the slimmest phone with a 5 megapixel camera currently on the market at just 11.8mm thick. But being slim hasn't helped it stay light weight. At 116g the phone feel quite heavy in your hand but with the Carbon fiber finish and tempered glass it all seems fitting and high quality too.
The camera is really nice in this phone and it is very similar to that of the Viewty phone. A 5 megapixel camera that takes really nice photos and will quite nicely replace your shoot and go digital camera. It has macro mode, a monster 16x digital zoom and LED flash to make your pics look great. It also has a fun feature that allows you to morph faces while taking the picture much like on the Sony Ericsson's face warp. The camera double as a video recorder in the high quality DivX format. Just like the Viewty the camera can record upto 120 fps which allows you to add effects to your video and play it back in high res and in slow motion. Since the phone records in DivX it can also play back DivX meaning that you can download and watch DivX movies right on the LG Secret. The phone has a front facing camera for 3G video calling.
Along with playing movies the LG Secret does a good job of playing music as well. It supports all the music formats you need and has a built in FM Radio. The phone itself has 100MB of internal memory for all of your music and you can add a 4GB memory card that will hold over 1000 songs. A couple of those and you can replace your iPod without worry. The phone is 3G so you can cruise the web at upto 3.6Mbps and comes loaded with Google software to makes surfing really easy.
All this makes the LG Secret a really nice phone but its not all roses for this phone. The battery life is a little bit on the weak side so you will have to charge every few days. It is a slim phone and slim usually means small battery. It a trade off you have to make if you want a small phone. There have also been reports of bad signal strength from users of the LG Secret so make sure to check that out.
