Description

The LG Lotus Elite is a square clamshell phone that dares to be a little different. How many square phones do you see on the market? This one comes in black and red and when you flip it open you’ll see a full QWERTY keyboard so you can pound out those text messages quickly. There’s also an external QVGA touch screen that matches the internal screen in size and functionality. The 320x240 display offers you more information without having to open your phone and it’s a big change from the previous version of this phone.

The internal display isn’t a touch screen but the QWERTY keyboard makes up for that. The built in applications support the touch screen display on the outside so you’re welcome to approach using the LG Lotus Elite however you’d like. Flexibility is always a good thing in mobile phones. Any applications that require your keyboard won’t run on the touch screen display but these are limited to stuff like games, the web browser and social networking apps like Facebook and MySpace.

The LG Lotus Elite makes crystal clear calls and gets terrific reception even in difficult areas. The contacts database can store up to 600 names with up to 7 numbers for each and full contact information. You get 98 speed dial numbers too. The voice command software is a nifty feature that makes hands work in the car easy.

The LG Lotus Elite makes a pretty good music phone thanks to access to the Spring Music Store, the front facing speakers and the built in music player that’s easy to use. The touch controls on the outside display make it easy to get to and browse your music. Headphones are recommended though since the speakers don’t produce great music. Sprint TV can also be viewed on the phone and it gets you access to TV shows and movies that are streamed by the Sprint Network. Games are easily played on the internal display. The 2 megapixel camera produces are decent but it’s so limited that you’re not going to get a tremendously high quality experience. It’s the only real issue with the phone.
