 The LG KC780 is another sexy slider with slim looks and a mid range price tag. What's more on on this phone is the 8 megapixel camera and a nice music player too. The issue with this phone is that although it looks great and takes a great photo but that's about it. The mobile phone has rather average features considering the fancy camera.
The LG KC780 does look great. It has a slim figure and a silver finish and big display. The front face has all your standard buttons to navigate the phone and start and end phone calls. When the phone slides out the standard numeric keypad is displayed. Nothing new with the keypad and the whole phone in general. The display is a TFT LCD screen with 262,000 colors and a 240 x 320 resolution which is right inline with other mid range phones on the market.
The camera is the crowning jewel of this mobile phone with its massive 8 megapixels. What makes this camera even better is the lens is a Schneider Kreuznach lens that comes with autofocus and LED flash. It takes a great photo that can easily replace the digital camera you have now. The camera can also record video for playback later or sending to friends.
The music player is also on par with market standards and can play all common file formats including: MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++, WMA. There is also a FM radio like on many new mid-range phone. It seems to be a standard these days. To keep your ears happy the KC780 has a generous 140Mb of internal memory and a memory slot that can take a 8GB memory card.
The LG mobile phone can surf the net too. It has WAP 2.0, GPRS Class 12, and EDGE connections. Sadly no 3G but at least you can cruise the web and check your email. There is support for common MS Office document types like txt, pdf, doc, ppt and xls.
Not a bad mid range phone overall but it really doesn't stand out too much despite its fantastic 8 megapixel camera. It lacks 3G which is quite key these days and the features just don't hack it. There are better phones in this range and some great ones for only a few bucks more.
