This could be the best value for your money right now if you don't want to spend a bundle.
The phone looks like most full touchscreen phones and looks like an iPhone or similar except the 3 buttons on the bottom designated for phone calls and quick menu navigation. The phone is quite simple to use and first timers will catch on real quick. You wont be able to put it down and will use all your free time playing with the novelty of a touch screen phone. The LG Cookie comes with a stylus pen if you don't want to use your fingers. The LG mobile phone knows which way you are holding it and the screen adjusts automatically from portrait to landscape. The fun doesn't stop there. When you are playing games with the LG Cookie and there are quite a few out there it will respond to tilting and turning much like a Nintendo Wii. When you need to text or type a fully QWERTY keyboard appears in landscape view.
Never mind the how it actually functions but the colors and the display itself are high class too. The phone is compact but the screen doesn't suffer as it maintains a large 3 inch size. It only weights 89g so it may just be the lightest of the touchscreens out there and is overall about 20% smaller than a iPhone yet has just about the same viewable screen.
The media player will play just about anything from video to audio and even a built in FM Radio. There is 48Mb of space available right in the unit and another 8GB available via a microSD memory card. You can surf the Internet to your hearts content with a built in web browser. Unfortunately it will not be at 3G speeds but it does support WAP 2.0, GPRS, EDGE which will at least keep you checking your emails. Speaking of emails, the Cookie will display all your common MS Office documents like txt, pdf, doc, ppt, and xls.
In the end we couldn't be happier with this phone. Looking at the deals on this phone from carriers its hard for it not to be a number 1 choice. The only thing this doesn't have compared to much more expensive options is a high end camera and 3G high speed Internet. If you need those two features then keep looking for the rest of us grab that LG Cookie while its still hot.
