Description

The LG Arena might just be the coolest phone ever produced. When you first see it you know that you have something special. Its compact and the screen is really bright and hypnotizing. This phone is top notch all the way. From user interface to design to the 5 megapixel camera it is grade A stuff.

There isn't a whole lot not to like here but if we had to nit pick our list would go like this. The camera is only 5 megapixel and not 8 megapixel. The Arena is also not a smartphone technically speaking. Again these are all minor things and we had to find some flaws right?

The LG Arena is smaller than the iPhone but the screen size is only negligibly smaller so you won't really notice that since it is a full 3 inches in size. The actual casing is stunning and will surely catch your eye when you first see it. It is really hard to miss the polished silver finish and bright display. The display is a whole new thing entirely with an amazing 480 x 800 pixel high resolution screen. The graphics on it are truly unbelievable. To support the cutting edge screen there is a whole new user interface to go with it. It is called the cube and it is basically a 3D cube that floats around on your screen and you can turn around to reveal its four different sides full of applications.

The Arena has a 5 megapixel camera which is not an industry leading 8 megapixles but most people won't mind with all the other high end features of this phone. The camera does have autofocus and a LED Flash for those night time shots. The camera doubles as a video recorder which is always handy and there is a front mounted camera for 3G video calls. To make you forget those extra camera megapixels found on other phone there is a state of the art media player. It will play virtually anything you want to watch or listen to and even has Dolby Mobile for high fidelity virtual surround sound. When you want to listen in privacy there is a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use your favorite headphones. There is a FM radio built in like most phones now but also has a FM transmitter so you can listen to your mp3 music right in your car over the radio.

We have to mention the memory capacity of this fantastic phone. It has a whopping 8GB built in and has a microSD card slot that supports cards as big as 40GB. That should be able to handle all your movies and songs and everything else. Move over iPhone there is a new sheriff in town. Beyond media the phone can help you cruise the web in high speed with 3G and that means you can stay connected to your office and check your emails too. The built in document viewer handles everything from txt, pdf, doc, ppt and xls files.

There is so much to this phone that we have barely scratched the surface. You just have to go out and test one out for yourself. This could be one of the coolest and most versatile phones ever created.
