Kate Hudson, a daughter of actress Goldy Houn and musician Bill Hudson, was born on 19th of April 1979 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

She was brought by a step-father, famous actor Curt Russell. Although the family hoped that after finishing school Kate would enter the University of New York, there is nothing strange in that Kate chose the career of actress. When she was three years old her portrait appeared on the cover of “Vanity Fair” magazine. In her childhood she danced and sang whenever she had chance. In 1997 Kate Hudson finished dramatic school “Crossroads” in Santa Monica. In a year she made her debut in cinema by playing in film “Blue desert”. One year later the actress pulled everyone’s attention by playing in film “200 cigarettes” and obtained positive feedback from critics. Then she played in a drama film “Gossips”.

The role of Penny Lein in the film “Almost Famous” was a breakthrough for Kate Hudson. For this role she was awarded “Oscar”. Kate Hudson continued to play in films. She played in “The Four Feathers” and in “How to lose a guy in 10 days”.
