Description Christina Maria Aguilera was born on the 18th of December 1980 in New York, USA. She became one of the several young American superstars that had appeared at the end of 80s. Her mother was a professional violinist and pianist and appeared on stage in Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her father served in army and so her family frequently moved from one place to another, traveling around the World. When at last her family settled down in Worksford, Philadelphia, Aguilera understood that she wanted to be a singer and started moving towards her dream. When she was eight, she took part in "Start Search", a national contest looking for new talents. When she was 10 years old, she already sang a national hymn on hockey teams matches. When she was twelve, she appeared on children’s TV show named "New Mickey Mouse Club" together with to-be-stars Justin Timberlake from N-Sync and Britney Spears. After two years of work in TV show Christina leaves for Japan. In Japan she meets Keizo Nakanishi, a country famous pop-singer, and records a duet song called "All I Wanna Do".
After coming back to USA at the beginning of 1998, Christina recorded "Reflection" song for Disney cartoon "Mulan". Soon after the cartoon release on June 1998, this composition becomes one of the fifteen best singles. The singer concluded a contract with RCA Records and continued her way towards musical Olympus.
The debut album of Christina, "Christina Aguilera", was recorded with the help of such leading American producers as Carl Starken, Evan Rogers and Trevon Potts, who worked with Aalia, Brendi and Boyzone. Her first single "Genie in a bottle" with its light rhythm and catching melody became a leader of American charts on the July of 1999. Single was a number one single of hit-parade for 5 weeks at a row and got the best sold disk in the USA. The other hits from this album are "Love will find you", "So emotional" and "I turn to you". In the September the album got into the first lines in the USA, and one month later "Genie in a Bottle" headed British charts. In November the singer released her second single named "What a girl wants" that became number one in the hit-parade of 2000.
