Description

Celine Dion was the youngest child out of 14 children in the worker's family in Quebec. She should be glad that she could sometimes take cheese sandwich not speaking about fortepiano. The members of her family, living in the village named Charlemagne, lying to the west of Montreal, liked children and music most of all. Celine Dion was named after the song that her mother sang while being pregnant. Celine's parents had a small restaurant and club, where their children could demonstrate their talents accompanied by father's accordion and mother's violin. When Celine Dion was five years old she had her first debut as a vocalist. When she was twelve, Celine composed her first song and with the aid of her brother and mother recorded her demonstration cassette. This cassette was sent to the address found in the album of famous French performer Janet Renault. This turned to be the address of Rene Angelie. Rene invited Celine to his office as soon as he received the record. After listening to Celine singing alive he burst out crying. He became her first admirer. Later the number of admirers counted to millions. Celine started her way to fame.
Celine Dion gradually turned from the singer performing on the stages night clubs to the sweet-voiced pop-music siren. What is fascinating, most of her songs' names contain word "love" or "amor". Her way up hills was even, but not without difficulties. Sound-recording companies didn't want to invest money as Angelie did. Angelie was so enchanted by Celine's talent that he mortgaged his own house to pay for her debut. The risk was reasonable and Celine's two first albums "La Voix du bon Dieu" and "Celine Chante Noel" made Celine the sensation of Canada. This young singer received a number of rewards, including golden medal of Yamaha festival in Tokyo. In the year 1983, when she was still teenager, Celine became the first Canadian that had golden disk of France.
