Description

The fact that Bob Marley took an exclusive place in the history of reggae is stipulated not only because he was one of its founders, but also because he had a unique talent that combined absolute music gifts and religious ecstasy. Anyone who is listening to the music of Marley should know that it's impossible to understand it without passing acquaintance with the history of Rastafarian movement. You should not perceive it as a simple part of pop-culture and listen to soul hymns separately from its mystic experience, they come from.

To put it in simpler words, the person who listens to the songs of Marley without its context for the first time, runs risks of perceiving him as another political anarchist in the row of rebellious youth of 60s. At that time he was a religious leader and visionary that could not be found in the rock-n-roll today. Many people strived to explain the charm of Marley's creative work by simple statement of his talents. But, one should think, that the answer could be found on a little bit another surface: Marley had a rare talent of adequate reproduction of universal truth that is brought only by religion. This absolute pitch of his helped him to perform any compositions (his own and other's compositions) in only possible way.
