Description

"Aerosmith" was formed in 1970. In seventies Aerosmith was one of the most popular American Glam-hard-rhythm-and-blues teams. Notwithstanding the fact that Boston quintet evidently took something from its British prototypes Rolling Stones, on one side, and Led Zeppelin, on the other, it managed to make something original with the help of glam (a, la Slide). In the 70s the group caught the fancy of listeners not only sue to its rock-n-roll and blues, but also to its so-called power-ballads with strong melodics and beautiful saturated arrangements.
At the beginning of 80s group became to go down. Nevertheless, in the second part of this decade the group managed to make a new breakthrough by changing its style for more pop-oriented one and seizing wider audience. Powerful glossy sound and inspirational ballads are still the trademark of Aerosmith.
The first incarnation of Aerosmith joined around vocalist Steven Tayler in 1970. This happened in the small city of Sunapee, New Hampshire. There Tayler who initially played on percussion instruments met a guitar player Joe Perry. Together with bassist Tom Hamilton they decided to form a power-trio that quickly turned to quartet after joining of the second guitar player Ray Tabano. Later Ray was changed by Brad Whitford. Thereafter, the quartet became a quintet, because Tayler found that he had talent to sing. And as a drummer the group has invited Joey Kramer. At the end of 1970s the group moved to Boston.
