His real name is Curtis Jackson. Now he is 26 years old and he is one of the most popular rappers. His songs are among the first places in charts. He is a child of street. He is devoted to its background and principles. Besides, 50 is very intelligent and sociable. He always gives a good account of himself and doesn't split hairs. In short, he has everything to be number one. 50 is real and speaks about real things. 50 was born in famous dynasty that dealt with drug sales and thus he lost all of his native people at once. He was brought up without father. The destiny made one more strike to him. His mother was found dead by mysterious situation long before he became a teenager. So thereafter he was brought up by his grandfather and grandmother. His hobbies and aims led him to New York Avenue, now known as Guy R. Brewer Blvd. It was where he started his first steps in composing rap. 50 started dealing in rap more seriously after the birth of his son. He signed a contract with JMJ, labeled as Run DMC DJ Jam Master Jay, and began learning making money on his own music. JMJ helped him in that, by giving tips and explaining some basics of business and music.

Soon he was noticed by Trackmasters and afterwards, in 1999 50 signed a contract with Columbia Records. The guys closed him up in the studio for two and a half weeks and he recorded 36 songs. And this is in such a small period of time. These compositions were included into album named "Power of a dollar" that was not released. In April 2000 50 Cent was shot 9 times beside his grandfather's and grandmother's house and one of these bullets (9mm caliber) got into his face. While the rapper was healing his wound Columbia Records cancelled the contract. But 50 Cent didn't give up and moved towards his goal. He started writing track after track without receiving any reward with his new partner and friend Sha Money XL.

By the end of the spring 2001 50 Cent released new thing "Guess Who's Back?" And his popularity began growing. And he was still composing and composing new compositions. At last he released a perfect composition "50 Cent is the Future" that was a little bit corrected by Jay-Z and Rapheal Saadiq. Namely this CD got to MC Eminem. In a week Eminem was broadcasted on radio where he said that 50 Cent is his favorite rapper at that moment. Eminem also told to Dr. Dre about young talent and when 50 was invited to join stars he didn't hesitate and accepted the invitation to join the dream team. 50 quickly compose a new thing "No mercy, No fear". This CD contained only one new track "Wanksta" that was not aimed for radio, while the street folk was waiting for official release of this track. One week later "Wanksta" became the most popular record. Some parts of these tracks were used in "8 mile" film. After having several hits behind 50 Cent could pretend to be called an artist of the year. Finally, his first official album promised to repeat the fate of his creator. That meant it would take first places in all charts.
