The 8208 was announced some time ago but it has now officially been green lighted by the CDMA network. The Nokia 8208 is a sleek and smooth slider phone that has a mp3 music player and a 3 megapixel camera. Whats sets this slider apart from others is that it slides out both ways. Slide it down to reveal the keypad for dialing or text messaging. Slide it up to show the music player controls. The 8208 has been available for a short time in some countries but with the CDMA network its only a matter of time before a big US carrier picks it up.

According to website Symbian Freak, Nokia is releasing a new updated firmware for the N78. The firmware version will be 21.002 and should fix most if not all of the glitches and bugs of the previous version 20.149. Last we checked with Nokia there was no official release of the new firmware so this should be treated as a rumour only for now. A new firmware version is to be expected though since the last release left a lot to be desired with many bugs and odd glitches in 20.149. There is also no word if this release will be a global release or one based on certain product SKUs.
