We no longer have to wait because the Google TV is coming and it is coming sooner than what we thought. Other people may say that the Google TV is just WebTV 2.0; still it is much more powerful than that. Those people who are interested in Google TV for the Android aspect will just have to wait to reap any benefits. The Logitech Revue may not help as it is, yet another box to put on you entertainment stand, still the box is rather small and has little setup. Google’s service will definitely be built into TVs.

A new remote management tool for sense phones is proudly announced by HTC. A host of new features to its sense user interface. The newest Android smartphones are the Desire Z and the Desire HD. HTC has also discussed a new feature on those particular phones called the “Fast Boot.” This new feature is enables the phone to automatically power-on in about ten seconds. The phone basically sleeps, and will only require a full boot that only takes about only one minute if the battery is already pulled.

The executive of Samsung’s U.S. Galaxy Tab demoed a version of Qik exclusive for Android that would allow two Galaxy Tab owners to video-chat with each other. As what the PC magazine has noted, the Qik’s software is coming to other Android devices as well. The said Qik software is expected to hit the Android market in the following months and will definitely run on devices with an ARM Cortex-A8 processor. Other Samsung’s Galaxy lines of smartphones and Android devices have met that requirement.

According to a report released with the application usage ranking, the smartphone owners in the United States still use their devices mainly for communications. According to the study conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 82 percent of U.S. adults own mobile phones, but only 35 percent of users have programs on their handsets that enable them to find more information, play games and even listen to music. The 24 percent of users truly use them. Furthermore, eleven percent of phone users are not sure if their device is capable of such applications.
