In Netherlands some of the T-Mobile iPhone users have found a hacked message on their jailbroken iPhones many days ago and the message is that if the users have to secure their iPhone then they have to pay $4.95 for instructions to get rid of the message quick. The hacker did not disable the iPhones in any way because the hacker basically wanted a ransom for peace of mind and it was an appealing money-making scheme for all of that day before the hacker gets shut down. In a clever move by the Vatican, the Pope himself is launching a new iPhone app. While we are sure the Pope is not behind the new app it is a great move by his organization to keep his followers up to speed while on the go. The new app is called Pope2you/H2Onews and will feature audio and video from the Vatican Television Center and Vatican Radio, travels and speeches of Benedict XVI, as well as key international ecclesiastical events. It will be released in eight languages once it is released. It just goes to show you how big the Apple iPhone is getting when even the Pope gets on board.

Crafty iPhone App developers who received the new SDK 3.0 for the new iPhone found a hidden gem. Inside the the kit was an iPhone 2.1 icon which is the first visual of the coming iPhone. The image doesn’t show anything new and it seems that the design will remain pretty much the same.
