The new site being offered by the Verizon Wireless provides a significant area for users to sign up for specific alerts on when its 4G network will launch coverage, pricing, and many more. The newest offering of Verizon Wireless is for everyone all around the globe. The Verizon even re-affirmed the plan of deploying the 4G network in 30 networks by the end of the year. According to a report released with the application usage ranking, the smartphone owners in the United States still use their devices mainly for communications. According to the study conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 82 percent of U.S. adults own mobile phones, but only 35 percent of users have programs on their handsets that enable them to find more information, play games and even listen to music. The 24 percent of users truly use them. Furthermore, eleven percent of phone users are not sure if their device is capable of such applications.
The highly-anticipated Windows Phone 7 OS of Microsoft will initially run on network based on GSM technology only and will not be available for smartphones on carriers like the famous Verizon and Sprint. As the Wash.-based software giant noted that its new mobile operating system which is Window phone 7 will only work with cellular network based on GSM. But although the window Phone 7 mobile operating system is only limited for GSM network-compatible phones, it will not be the meteoric start of what the company is aiming, to turn its smartphone business around.
The Dell Thunder Android-running prototypes are in the market for some time now. Though there is not much difference in the usual format of its earlier versions still there are some notable features which must be mentioned. It has a 4.1” screen space occupied by regular LCD screens, one with 480×800 resolutions and the other with something in the realms of 768×1280 pixels which is more than the usual i-phone androids. Besides this there is a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset and 8MP camera with LED flash but there is no front-facing cam for now.
