HTC Touch get revamped for Verizon

HTC and Verizon Wireless have teamed and launched an all new Touch for the Verizon network. Previously available only for Sprint it has seen some upgrades such as visual voice mail and the VZ Navigator that give audio driving instructions. Familiar features such as Opera web browser, 3.2 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot. The Touch runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 interface system and a 2.8 inch touch screen to run the mobile phone. If you head over to Verizon you can get in on the Touch for about $300 after a mail in rebate and a new 2 year deal with the carrier.



Trend Micro is out for iPhone

The Trend Smart Surfing Application by Trend Micro is officially available for the iPhone through the iTunes store. The Trend Smart Surfing app is a web browsing tool that blocks users from accessing websites that Trend Micro deems as dangerous. Trend Micro’s Web reputation technology, a component of the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network has been helping web surfers stay protected from having personal data mined and stolen for many years now so this should be a welcome addition to just about any iPhone user. Version 8 of Vision Mobile Browser released

The new browser supports full web browsing, streaming video and even widgets. It is compatible with just about any web browsing cell phone and not just the elusive smartphones. Sony Ericsson S312 Released

Nokia fixes bugs in N78 with new firmware

According to website Symbian Freak, Nokia is releasing a new updated firmware for the N78. The firmware version will be 21.002 and should fix most if not all of the glitches and bugs of the previous version 20.149. Last we checked with Nokia there was no official release of the new firmware so this should be treated as a rumour only for now. A new firmware version is to be expected though since the last release left a lot to be desired with many bugs and odd glitches in 20.149. There is also no word if this release will be a global release or one based on certain product SKUs.



Nokia to add three more touchscreens this fall

Rumours coming out of Nokia have the mobile phone giant releasing three more touchscreen phones by this coming fall. All three mobile phones will be thin touchscreen phones and will use Immersion’s VibeTonz technology. The technology will help those who do lots of text messaging by giving direct feedback to the users fingers. Yet another rumour has it that Nokia will release a 4.2 inch touchscreen phone that will have a slide out QWERTY keyboard that is being labeled as Nokia’s next Internet tablet. These are all rumours at the moment and we will let you know as anything becomes official.

LG gets serious about music

LG announced that it is bringing out 3 new phones all centered around music. The three new phones will be the GM310 which is the best of the bunch based on its impressive specs followed by the GM210 and GM205. The GM210 will be a slider and the GM205 a candy bar shape. They will both feature a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD slot to help you load up all your music. The phones will all keep you rocking with Dolby Mobile and LG Sound Engine technology. They should be great phone for audiophiles and as more info is released on the Korean made cell phones we will be sure to bring it to you.
